3D Dental Imaging and Your Teeth
Tools for Dental Implants
Gendex enters a new dimension in dental imaging with the GXCB-500, powered by i-CAT®, the industry-leading technology and robust software for 3-D imaging.
The Gendex cone beam 3-D scan has numerous benefits.
- There is a considerable reduction in radiation when compared to traditional CT scans.
- Exceptional speed with an 8.9second scan time, and a full 3-D reconstruction in less than 20seconds.
- Allows us capture anatomically accurate information to assist in diagnosis, planning, and treatment. Patients can have confidence in treatment plans with a clear diagnosis backed by visualization.
- Provides a digital replicate of the mouth and jaw anatomy with no distortion or magnification.
We are able to determine precise tooth positions, bone structure, locations of relative anatomy, and vital structures using complete, 360-degree, three-dimensional scans that display vividly on your computer monitor.
The cone beam scan provides us with diagnostically important information for different procedures and conditions. With a 3-D scan the placement of implants is more predictable. We are able to measure bone height and width to determine what size implant is best for you. The scan allows tracing of the nerves canal on the lower jaw to minimize the risk of paralysis to the lip, tongue, teeth, and soft tissues.
With the new technology of the Gendex 3-D scan we can take images of the TMJ. We can obtain more accurate imaging of wisdom teeth to determine there position within the jaw bones and the determine how close they are to vital structures.
